CLOSING DATE SUNDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER 2024
1 CONDITIONS OF PLAY
(a) The competition shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by R&A Rules Limited and the Scottish Golf Hard Card with supplementary local rules. They shall comprise 54 holes of stroke play over three days, there shall be NO CUT.
(b) The event will be under the charge of the Competition Committee of the Stephen Gallacher Foundation to whom all disputes will be referred and whose decision shall be final. The committee reserves the right to amend the conditions of the events.
(c) The winner of the event shall be the competitor who returns the lowest score for 54 holes. There shall be a number of prizes on the day subject to the size of the field, these will be posted on the Tournament Conditions nearer the event
ALL PRIZE WINNERS ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND THE PRESENTATION.
(d) In the event of a tie after 54 holes, the event trophy/title will be decided with a sudden death play off, over holes to be decided by the Championship committee. In the event of a tie after 54 holes for any of the prize giving positions vouchers will be shared relative to the finishing position and the number of players tying.
(e) Withdrawals will not be accepted at any time unless confirmed by email. A competitor failing to notify the Stephen Gallacher Foundation by this method before 17:00 on Sunday 8th September 2024 will be subject to an automatic ban of up to two years from all Scottish Golf events. Only in exceptional circumstances and on formal appeal to the Championship Committee will the ban be lifted..
(f) In the event of a competitor having to withdraw after the closing date, the entry fee will not be refunded.
(g) The specimen conditions in the Rules of Golf (Pages 137 & 138) are in effect regarding Conforming Driver Heads and Conforming Golf Balls
(h) Scottish Golf has a doping policy, copies of which are available on request from the Scottish Golf office. As part of this policy a player shall not make use of any drug to enhance his performance. The Championship Committee reserve the right to require a player to undergo a drugs test both in and out of competition. A positive test or failure to undertake such a test, will result in disqualification from the competition and the player would then be subject to Scottish Golf disciplinary procedures, a copy of which is also available from the Scottish Golf office. Competitors who are on medication and in doubt as to their clinical status should seek advice from Scottish Golf.
(i) No caddies are allowed.
(j) A competitor is not permitted to withdraw at any stage of the events except for emergency reasons or medical circumstances explained to and deemed acceptable by the Championship Committee. A competitor failing to notify the Championship Committee in person of his withdrawal before departing the event venue will be subject to an automatic ban of up to two years from Scottish Golf events. Only in exceptional circumstance and on formal appeal will the ban be lifted.
(k) Players must walk at all times during a stipulated round, unless authorised by a member of the committee, or permission to use a buggy has been granted in accordance with the Scottish Golf Transportation Policy.
(l) A copy of the full pace of play conditions will be posted at the event and will be available on request.
(m) The Stephen Gallacher Foundation along with the Scottish Golf arranges publicity before and during the competition in the press and by live and recorded radio and television broadcasting and filming and on the Internet. Each competitor by entering the championship and by agreeing to these terms and conditions assigns to the Stephen Gallacher Foundation, Scottish Golf and its assignee's and licensees the right in perpetuity throughout the world to make, use, exhibit and reproduce in any way now known or hereafter devised (and to authorise others to do so) for commercial and other purposes from time to time and at their discretion, motion pictures, still pictures, live taped or filmed television, sound recordings and any other reproductions of any description of the competitor made during or in connection with the competition (including, without limitation, during practice and play) without compensation for the competitor or the heirs, successors, executors, administrators or assignee's of the competitor. The competitor also assigns the right to use and reproduce the competitor’s name, voice, likeness and biographical material in any way now known or hereafter devised by the Stephen Gallacher Foundation and the Scottish Golf for the purpose of promoting the competition and any subsequent competitions, without compensation for the competitor or the heirs, successors, executors, administrators or assignee's of the competitor including in circumstances where it may include the logo of a third party or of a sponsor or patron of the competition or any subsequent competition or any other activities undertaken by Scottish Golf. Notwithstanding the foregoing grant of rights, Scottish Golf and its assignee's and licensees agree that, other than as permitted above, they will not authorise any company contractually associated with Scottish Golf to use the competitor’s name, voice, likeness and biographical material in any way which constitutes the endorsement of a product or service, without first requiring such associated company to obtain the competitor’s authorisation.
2 QUALIFICATION
To be eligible entrants must
(a) be a girl of amateur status as defined by R&A Rules Limited, a declaration to that effect being in the entry form,
(b) be under the age of 18 years at 00.01 hours on 1 January 2024,
(c) be in possession of a handicap
NOT EXCEEDING FIFTEEN STROKES (exact 15.4)
under the current World Handicap Scheme.
THE EXACT HANDICAP ON THE CLOSING DATE WILL BE USED FOR ALL PURPOSES
3 ENTRIES
(a) The starting field shall be 40 and will be made up in the following order:
i) Up to a maximum of FIFTEEN players under any criteria can be invited to compete by the Scottish Golf Performance Selection Panel or Stephen Gallacher Foundation Committee
ii) All remaining entries up to the maximum of 40 according to exact handicap at CLOSING DATE.
(b) Entries must be made online through the Stephen Gallacher Foundation website. The entry fee of £75 payable on line, through paypal. Only one entry per entrant will be accepted. If unable to enter online you should contact Scott Knowles by e-mail on scott@sgfoundation.co.uk.
(c) All entries are subject to the approval of the Championship Committee of the Stephen Gallacher Foundation who reserve the right to refuse or accept or, having accepted, subsequently reject any entry and shall not be called upon to give any reason for their action.
(d) The Stephen Gallacher Foundation will not be responsible for forms which are lost electronically or for entries made after the closing date.
(e) Entries close on Sunday 8th September 2024

(g) The Stephen Gallacher Foundation will not be responsible for any correspondence that fails to reach the individual
4 REGISTRATION
Competitors are required to register at the Stephen Gallacher Foundation office a minimum of 30 minutes on the day prior to their first tee off time.
