Harry Bent leads the Way

Today we held the first of our summer season events at North Berwick Childrens Course, the weather was kind to us and the course was in excellent condition for the 75 boys and girls taking part.

Many thanks to all the North Berwick members for the courtesy of the course and to Macdonald Marine Hotel for allowing us to use there Ben Sayer suite on the day.

The scoring was of a very high standard and clearly all the winter coaching is working well. Special mention though has to go to Harry Bent who in the Under 12 boys section scored a two under par 25 on the 9 hole par 3 course, exceptional scoring on any day.

Well done to all the boys and girls who competed on the day and especially well done to all the players who scored 36 or less in the flag events and now qualify to play in the forthcoming stroke play order of merits.

Was also great to see so many at the prize giving today and special thanks to everyone for the pace of play today, last tee time was 2pm and the presentation was done by 3.30pm, fantastic and proves good scoring can come from quick play.

Our next event os the Stuart Hutchison Trophy which takes place at Swanston GC on Sunday 24th April, which you can enter via the website www.sgfoundation.co.uk
