Quality Golf at U12 Championship

Quality Golf at U12 Championship

Fantastic days golf today at Gogarburn GC in our Under 12 and Under 10 Championship.

Many thanks to everyone at Gogarburn GC for all their help this week, the course was in fantasatic condition and gave all the boys and girls an excellent test of golf. Special thanks to Moira Brown for all her help before during and after the event.

The scoring was excellent on all 3 days, in very testing windy conditions. In day one we had a 3 way tie with scores of 49, in day two Andrew Hendry took the lead with an excellent two round total of 96, with Kieran McMillan scoring a low 46 on the day.

All this lead to an exiting last day finish which seen Andrew Hendry and Josh Beveridge, providing their own "Stenson and Mickelson" show, with Josh Beveridge coming through the winner with an excellent 45, low score of the week, for a 4 shot winning margin on 143.

In the under 10's, the competition was just as fierce, with Brodie Cunningham and Grace Crawford doing their own version of "duel in the sun", both players shooting excellent 47's in the last round with Grace holding on to win by one shot with a 3 round total of 153.

All the boys and girls deserve great credit for the 3 day event in the manner and speed in which they played the game, well done to them all.
