On a very windy and cold day today, we held our 2019 Finals Day at Kingsfield Golf Club, Linlithgow. In total we had 118 boys and girls taking part, which with all the parents meant around 300 people attending.

Many thanks to everyone at Kingsfield Golf Club for their help on the day, the course and food were fantastic, special mention to Jane Allan, Robert Arkley and Lee Fraser for all their hard work and to Stephen's wife Helen, mum, Wilma and Janet Fleming and our many volunteers on the day for their fantastic efforts.

To my special assistants Stuart Johnston, Tracy Johnston and our merry band of volunteers, Louis Knowles, Lisa MacPherson, Jeff Little, Kirsty McAdam, Neil Gordon, Jim McDiarmid, Justin White, Niamh Johnston, Jake Johnston, Scott McAdam, Lyndsy Sturton, Natalie Fowler, Harry Fowler, Sharon MacPherson and Carol Knowles, without these people our events don't run, some of these people helped today but all have been a great help throughout the year, we as a Foundation salute you all.

Also many thanks to our ambassadors, Connor Wilson, Cameron Adam, Ruben Lindsay and Carys Irvine you have been a credit to the foundation throughout.

On top of our main event we also held our "Short Game" World Match Play Championship in which all of the children competed in , this was superbly run, as always by our Professional Jane Connachan and her assistant for the day Natalie Fowler. Our Professionals Jane Connachan, James McGhee and David Burns have done a fantastic job for the Foundation throughout the year and the proof of how good they are is shown not only by the scoring today but by the improvement all the boys and girls have made throughout the year, Well done.

The golf on the day was of an exceptional standard and befitting a finals day event, especially in very testing conditions. Score of the day was a fabulous level par 34 by Callum Kenneally in the Under 14's followed by Brodie Cunningham in the Under 12's with a 37. The leading scores in the Under 10 boys was Fraser Walters with an excellent 42 and Katie Graham in the Under 18 girls scoring 44

The winners of the 2019 Order of Merits were Georgia Foster in the girls Under 14, Tobin Witt in the boys Under 14's, Kiron Gribble in the Boys Under 12's and Fraser Walters in the boys under 10's, all four of them showing great consistency over the years events.

A special mention though must go to Logan Waddell who in the 9 hole flag event for the under 12's went round in 34 in very testing conditions well done Logan.

The most competitive and exciting section of the day though was the Under 10 Girls Flag event which had to go to a 3 way play off between Lauren MacAulay, Stella Walters and Maisie Band with Stella winning at the first extra hole
