Today at Ratho Park GC we held our Final round of the 54 hole Under 15 and Under 13 Championships supported by Cala Homes

Many thanks to Ratho Park secretary Robert Dobbie, Captain Armar Johnston but especially all the green staff, who had the course in fantastic condition for the boys and girls for all of the 3 days.

Our Under 15 Scratch Open Championship was of a very high standard with Archie Finnie (Royal Burgess) coming through in the end with a final round 67 for a 3 round total of 208 to win by one shot from Valdemar Hundeboll (North Berwick) the 2nd round leader who finished with a 71

Our Under 13 Scratch Open Championship was of an equal quality with James Wood (Bathgate) finishing with a 67 for a total of 212 and a 2 shot win from Fergus Brown ( Gullane) who finished with a 71
In the Under 15 section a fantastic last round nett score of 59 by Hayden Fowler (Bathgate) for a total of 192 gave him a 1 shot win from Ryan Gallagher ( Longniddry) who closed with an excellent nett 63
In the Under 13 handicap section 10 year old Aidan Lawson ( Bruntsfield) won by 1 shot with a closing nett 67 and a total of 193, in second place was Ava Paterson ( Falkirk) who finished strongly with a nett 62
In all the rounds of golf played throughout the event the speed of play was exceptional, with no match going over the 3 hours 15 minutes and all played in a great manner with lots of smiles, proving you can play at a good pace, have fun and score well, well done to all the boys and girls.
